Our Services

Aquatic Therapy

Water offers many advantages to assist with exercise and rehabilitation. The most important being early intervention post-surgery or injury. Beginning therapy before weight bearing helps to minimize muscle atrophy. If exercise is painful, the buoyancy of the water takes stress off the joints by decreasing the weight they must bear and in turn alleviates pain. The viscosity of the water provides effective resistance for strength and cardiovascular training. The hydrostatic pressure generated by the water causes an increase in circulation, which decreases swelling. Tactile cues provided by the water assist with proprioceptive and balance training. The best part about it is that it is fun!

Orthopedic Rehab

Orthopedic rehabilitation is a specialty area focusing on all musculoskeletal conditions including joints, bones, muscles, and connective tissue, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. Dr. Emily Smith and Dr. Anna Yanchek hold OCS certificates (orthopedic clinical specialists) and have done an exceptional level of training to ensure that you get the best possible treatment for any type of orthopedic condition.

Pre/Post Surgery

If you are planning on having surgery or recovering, be it elective or not, now is the time to make a serious commitment. Whether the healing has started, or the repair is in place, it is now your responsibility to devote time, energy and resources to recovery. Physical therapy will help you prepare for surgery and guide you through the rehabilitation process to ensure you attain the best possible results. Make that commitment and invest in your health: it will be worth it in the long run. We will help you every step of the way.

Balance Therapy

Balance is a key component of fitness, along with strength, endurance and flexibility. Improving your balance can help with performing your daily activities like standing on tiptoes to reach something on the top shelf, walking up and down stairs or walking on an uneven surface without falling. Balance training improves your body awareness (proprioception), coordination and reaction time decreasing the likeliness that you will fall. Balance training also improves joint stability which can prevent a large array of injuries.

Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is a term used to describe hands-on physical therapy. Physical therapists use their hands to apply various forms of pressure techniques on tissues and manipulate joints to decrease pain caused by muscle spasms, nerve entrapment, muscle or ligament tension and joint dysfunction. Everybody naturally has imbalances and areas of tension or stiffness. We will assess imbalances and apply manual therapy to optimize movement to help you achieve your therapy goals.

Pain

What is pain? What is the difference between acute and chronic pain? Physical therapists can answer these questions, help you better understand your type of pain and give you the tools to manage it. Pain can be caused by movement problems, can become chronic and can lead to surgery. Physical therapists can help you correct movement problems, reduce the symptoms of many chronic diseases and conditions and can keep many problems from getting worse. Physical therapists can help you avoid the need for, and the costs and risks of, surgery.

Andi’s Story

Andi Lewis, PT, MSPT, Owner

Andi is a true Wyoming native who grew up in Jackson. She became a physical therapist by chance. Her parents were involved in a private airplane accident in 1993; both survived the ordeal. Her mother suffered minor injuries, but her father sustained a spinal cord injury. Andi quit her sports marketing job to assist with her father’s rehabilitation. During this time, she learned something about an extraordinary group of people. Physical therapists are not just exercise teachers; they are compassionate, caring individuals. She realized she wanted to join this profession. At 25, she returned to school to become a physical therapist. After spending 15 years away from Jackson, she returned to raise her two daughters near her family and in 2007 started ALL Body Therapy. Her daughters are now in college, so she is entering a new chapter in her life.
